Newborns may look cute; actually, they are loved by everybody. But do you have the slightest idea about how long and how difficult the entire process is when a newborn actually comes into your life? Those unsleeping nights, and mind you, it goes on for weeks and months. Every mother wishes if these process could be just a little bit easy. So let us find out what are the things you wouldn’t miss about a newborn.
Here Are The 10 Things You Shouldn’t Miss About Having A Newborn:
1. Deprivation Of Sleep
Even if you get a chance to sleep (which I am pretty sure you won’t), you would simply get up wondering what the hell happened to your baby!! All your dreams would be about “where is the baby?” OH!! by the way if you think you can just hold the baby in your arms or bosom, and then slip away to your happy dreamland, then let me tell you are WRONG.
2. Baby Blues
There are many women who go through depression after the delivery. It is called Postpartum depression. Baby blues is a common phenomenon experienced by the mothers. And why wouldn’t they? There is no sleep, no rest and the women still look pregnant even if the baby is right in their arms.
3. It Is Time To Do It. Is It?
The doctor’s appointment is the part where it goes messy. That is the time when you feel that something happens that would buy you more time, more weeks, maybe months.
The sub-heading itself is enough to let you know what I actually am talking about. It’s not only the baby who stinks but you yourself! And that moment even the deodorants won’t work. The entire house seems to be a madhouse and addition to it the stink!! What is more embarrassing is, when you are out for some kind of shopping and there’s that moment when you realise that some of the vomit is still stuck to your hairs.
No matter how many kids you have, the newborns can still provoke the anxiety out of you. They just know what makes you tick.
6. Invisible Social Calendar
There is no social life when a newborn comes. You don’t even remember what day it is, and let’s just forget about the date. Your entire world revolves around the baby’s care. No invites, and even if you get it, there is no way you would remember to go for that event.
Usually, people say, that it’s easy to wash a baby’s clothes. Because they are so tiny! ! But nobody knows (except people who have experienced newborn) how many clothes they change in 24 hours.
8. House Full Of Dirt
You can only sleep when the baby does. So just imagine when will you actually keep your house clean?? It looks like the house is hoarded by some aliens (maybe if you are lucky enough they might do the cleaning).
The most difficult part; yes, breastfeeding is very Important. But that does not mean it’s very soothing for the women. It hurts and sometimes you just don’t have the energy to do it anymore. But you just can’t stop.
Yah, the worst part! Sometimes you get so irritated that you feel like stopping everything and just resting for a while. But then there is the guilt. Guilt of being a HORRIBLE mum! Thinking how could you be so selfish.
